OUR STORY
What began as a cry of frustration from a mother concerned about the treatment of her child at their local school has turned into what we believe is the first independent web site (Not for Profit) run by parents for parents about which school is right for your child. The feedback that we have had from parents since the site was set up has been overwhelming!
We know as parents that as you guide your child from kindergarten through to high school, we all face many decisions, unexpected hurdles and challenges. Although some may be unique to you and your child, most will have been faced or are currently being faced by other parents.
So we believe that there should be no more Chinese whispers, no more making judgments without any real information and no more making decisions on a school based on what it may have been like when our friends were there 20 to 30 years ago!
We also believe in the following;
- Building a place to “pass it forward”. By sharing information, all parents will benefit in having the access to better information.
- By seeing that parents are becoming more actively involved, schools will improve their standards
- Building an independent website that is not funded by any schools
- When parents make informed choices, students and schools benefit
- When our kids are happy - they will learn, when they are not happy, their learning ability suffers
- Each child is different and requires different tools to succeed. We hope that as Educated Guess evolves, we can provide you with better information to make the right choices.
