Tony Abbott call for HELP

Well I put a call out today to Tony Abbotts office in the hopes that he would take up our offer of supporting Australias’ first teachers helpline.

As I explained to his PA currently it is costing tax payers around $9.4 million dollars a year to cover short term absences from teachers.

Many of these short term absences are due to work related stress.

I would have thought that having a support helpline to help these teachers would be a natural progression in the need to cut this huge cost.

I will let you all know how we go with his reply.

I know as a parent my child’s education is so important, and I know that a healthy and emotionally happy teacher is a necessity, I just hope the government can see this.

What do you think?
