How do I search for a school?

To search for a school enter either a postcode or school name and state.
The search is simple and the results will include schools from surrounding suburbs.
Along with the data on each school, there will also be an option for users to enter information regarding that school. All information entered into school profiles must be factual.

How do I rate a school?

  1. Search for the school you wish to survey
  2. Enter school rating page
  3. Complete entry form for competition
  4. Complete rating questions

Your rating is extremely important as it is vital in assisting other parents in making an informed choice for their children.

How do I add school information?

  1. Search for the school you wish to complete information for
  2. Enter school information page
  3. Complete what information you can, making sure that at all times it is factual
  4. You or other people from the school can complete information separately.
  5. Any information that has been ticked is complete

How do I use this site?

Educated Guess has been created to provide parents information not easily accessible in the process of deciding the education of their child/ren. This web site was designed to be easily navigated, however if you have any suggestions on how to improve it, please let us know.

The school community is an ever-evolving environment. Up-to-date information supplied by parents/carers/P & C groups and school employees is vital to the success of the Educated Guess site.

How do I write a review?

Reviews should be about your first-hand experience within the last 2 years, not what you have heard from other parents or neighbors. Be specific. This comment describes a parent's personal experience in detail: "My child's teacher was fantastic and assisted with his reading issues." This one does not: "Everyone says this school is great."

Who can write reviews?

Parents, Educators, Students current and who have attended the school in the last two years.

How long should a review be?

Between 10 – 150 words.

What kinds of reviews does Educated Guess reject?

All reviews are monitored to ensure a quality standard. All opinions about schools are necessary, both positive and negative. We strive to keep our responsible and respectful. We will not post negative reviews that contain obscenities, hateful language, unsupportable factual statements rather than opinions, or accusations that anyone has committed a crime. Your opinion needs to be civil and without insulting language. If you believe you have any evidence of any criminal conduct, you should bring such matters to the attention of law enforcement so that any allegations can be properly investigated and addressed.
This policy is not intended to and does not create any promise or agreement with anyone who wants to post a review with this site. We reserve the exclusive right to determine what is and is not an appropriate post. Regardless of our policy to reject non-conforming reviews, you remain solely responsible for any review that we agree to post.

Do I have to give my name?

It is not necessary; however we encourage you to give your name because that makes the review more reliable and honest.

What happens after I submit a review?

Your review will be read by our administrators, and it will be posted if it conforms to these guidelines. If your review does not meet our guidelines, we'll send you an email telling you why and inviting you to revise and submit your review again. Educated Guess reserves the right to refuse to post any review that does not meet our guidelines.

How many ratings and reviews can I post?

We allow you to give one rate and review for each school that each child attends. If you write a second review for a school, it will replace your old review as long as it meets our guidelines.

What if I review a school but want to change what I wrote later?

You can write a new review, and it will replace your previous review.
You can re rate a school every 3 months.

What do I do if I see a review that I think is a problem?
